About

My name is Fabio. I teach Contact Improvisation, write poetry, and build commercial strategy for complex technologies. These are not separate careers — they are three expressions of the same practice: observing and breaking predetermined patterns, responding to what is alive.

My story

I was born in Graz, Austria, into a world of books, impractical questions, and frequent hikes. My path has taken me through different worlds: I studied Russian in Moscow, International Relations and Philosophy at St Andrews, and dance in Vienna. But all the most valuable lessons came through practice.

In my professional career, I have spent nearly a decade in marketing strategy and venture building, developing business models, go-to-market strategies for organizations with complex offerings. Currently, I am working on the commercial infrastructure at Zyglox, a deep-tech startup in Graz developing sensor technology.

In 2025, I took a year away. I completed an Yoga Teacher Training with my heros Gregor Maehle and Monica Gauci, immersed myself in Contact Improvisation, taught workshops, and discovered community radio. This year confirmed what I had felt for a long time: the capacity to observe deeply and respond with agility is the same whether you are reading a room in a business context or meeting a dance partner for the first time.

Back in Graz, I co-founded Wild Care — a platform for art as social practice — and host Glaciers & Tigers, a radio show on Radio Helsinki about how experience shapes perception.

The through-line

I am interested in what happens when we look past the surface layer. We have a thin crust of name, job, country, age — and underneath, the raw force of nature. Whether in movement, words, or organizational work, I am drawn to what becomes possible when we move past the familiar.

This is what I teach. This is what I write about. This is how I work.
